Well my morning coffee brought me to doodles today..so much to do and yet I still want to play lol. Anyways I made 12 of these..I have packaged 4....thought if they went over well I will post the remainder so lets see what feedback I get. I fooled around with them when i was done, they look cool recolored or sharpened or even just clicking the Adjust - One step photo fix. You will see what I mean...

C/U Ok Stackables

You might say.. Dee what the heck is a stackable?! Well I was making some elements for a kit I am donating to Taking Back PSP. When I was making the elements I created these stackables, they just add a different texture to stacked layers of elements. First I chose a vector shape of a flower, flood filled it with one of the papers from my kit, then a different vector flower shape and a different paper on top. Apply a drop shadow (check off separate layer) to the top vector flower. Then I added one of my stackables, recolored it slightly, then added button, and bow, apply same drop shadow to both of those. Before you merge your layers, select the main bottom shape, select invert and if any of your top elements (like bow or inside flower) shadows protrude past the main bottom layer then hit delete on each of those layers. select none and your done! Attached are 2 stackables I made for my kit using these... these are not snaggable as they are a part of my kit..they are for reference only! These stackables i made are C/U just don't repackage and sell as a set. No credit required.. Please let me know what you think of these. Hugz Dee

Funky Flowers

Here is another set of flowers I did.. but before I post.. gonna show you how I turned the plain one into the finished product... There are so many ways you can fiddle with them but just in case someone thinks, Oh Dee I like how that turned out...how did ya do it.. your answer before the question:)

Oh BTW, same size as the shiny ones and same T.O.U.

Open the flower of choice in your program ( mine is PSPX2), Using your magic wand set to RGB Value, 25%, Add (Shift) and click on the dark grey area of each petal.
Note: If you can't read the settings on the previews well, just clicking on the image will bring up the original size:)

Marching Ants will appear, then go to Adjust, Hue and Saturation/Lightness and apply with these settings ( you can fool around these are the settings I used).

Click Ok, Now Selections invert, go back to Hue and Saturation/Lightness and change to lighter shade..

I used these settings.

Click Ok, Selections Invert Again, Go to Adjust, Blur - Radial Blur and apply these settings.

Click OK, Select None, Now duplicate your image, change the blend mode of the top one to

multiply, Merge Visible. Go to Alien Eye Candy Impact Glass and apply with these settings.

Click Ok and your done.

Now if you make some funky Flowers different then mine.. I'd love to see them and find out how you did them:)

I know I was to post my Wednesday Word Art, but with so much sadness around me this month its hard to think of anything cheery to create... I will try and do something before the weekend.. I did though make these flowers to share this morning. I left them BIG 700 by 700 (72dpi) so you can easily work with them and then resize. C/U OK just please don't resell them as is... or package them up and resell... add to your kits and have fun with them... No Credit required.. Hugz Dee

Wow I so love Jennifer Janesko's new Pkg..though I am a sucker for Black n Whites. I found this amazing Kit (Freebie) called Monochrome - HERE by Mirella Basche. I've made these 2 tags and will make one more before I decide which to tut. Well anyways while i was at Mirella's Blog, I checked out some of her stuff.. I love the clean lines of her kits!! Oh and if your on FB you should check out her FB exclusive (available til Sunday).

I posted my 2 tags to my FB and tagged Mirella to them well wouldn't ya know it... she asked me to join her CT.. geesh I just left a ton of places but heck I was so thrilled with the kit I just have to see more!! Oh and one great thing she does FS Kits as well and I just love to dabble with LO'S!.

Fooling Around Over my Coffee this morning I made these dirty overlays.. kinda like how they turned out so I thought I'd share..Use as you wish just don't package them up and sell....thanks:) Hugz Dee

I think I like them best on a patterned paper.. so Here is one Paper I made.

Open your paper up in PSP, C/P one of the Dirty Overlays, arrange it so the Dirty Overlay is the top layer,

set your blend mode to "BURN" on the overlay and this is the results:)

This tutorial was written on 01.30.12 by Dee
Any similarities is completely coincidental

*For this tutorial C/P means Edit, copy element or paper and paste as a new layer.
*Also when I suggest clicking on a layer first before you C/P its for placement purposes.

*D/S - Effects, 3 D effects, Drop Shadow then put in the settings I post in the brackets.

Create new raster 600 by 600. Flood fill black.
C/P each of the Papers. Rename each P1 - P5, P1 being the one on the bottom just above the black background.Using your selection tool, trace out a section 200 pixels deep, it doesn't matter if you exceed your work area
on either side, just as long as you stop your section at 200 long...see preview.

Image, crop to selection.
On Black backround , Selections, Select All, Modify, Contract by 2, hit delete, select none.. send to top and rename Border. Click on your P5 layer. C/P your main tube. Place to the left, duplicate mirror. On P5 layer, select All, crop to selection again. Rename your main tube layers, Top-Right and Bottom-Left. Change the Blend Mode of the left one to screen. Duplicate the left one 4 times. One by one drag one of the left tubes, to just above one of the Papers (P1-P5) and merge down, so that there is a left tube on each of the papers.
Click on P5, add your copyright info, duplicate 4 times and repeat the merge process so that there is one on each of the 5 Paper Layers. Doing it like this
keeps the number of layers to a minimum. Back on your P5 layer, set your bottom material box to BLACK, top to nil, set your anti-alis to Off, click on your text button, scroll to find your FF Urban Font, set the size to 10 pixels and add your wording. I just repeated my phrase twice with a few... between them. Note- my wording didn't take up my whole work area!
Arrange wording to the left of your image. Right click on layer, convert to raster. Back on P5 Layer, set your bottom material box to WHITE, top to nil. Using your rectangle tool, trace out a rectangle a few pixels wider than your wording. I extended past each side just to be sure it reached the edges. Right click on the layer, convert to raster. On P5 layer, Select all, Image - crop to selection again. Duplicate your white strip layer. On the top one, selections, select all, select modify, contract by 2, on top strip layer hit delete, now
click on the bottom white strip layer, while ants still marching, selections invert, hit your delete button, then select none. Change the opacity of the bottom white strip to 36%. Now drag your wording between the 2 strips, merge down so the wording is on the main strip, duplicate 4 times. ( Note .. you are not merging the top white strip!) Now drag each duplicate strips to just above one of your papers and merge each one down onto a paper. To see if your correct.. I have 8 layers showing. Top one my border, next my main right tube, then my top white strip and then my 5 Papers. Back on your top white strip layer, duplicate 4 times, rename each one S1(bottom) -S5(top).
Starting on the bottom one, go to effects, plug ins, Alien Skin Xenofex 2 Constellation and apply with these settings.

Click OK, move to the next strip layer, apply same just hit the random button before you hit OK. Continue through each strip remembering your random button. Click on your S5 layer, C/P my Word Hot 1 into your image. Place where you want it to be. Select all, select float, Layers, create new raster. C/P Hot 2 but choose the paste into selection option not as new layer.Layers, new raster layer, C/P Hot 3, paste into selection. Layers, new raster, C/P Hot 4 paste into selection and repeat for Hot 5. Once done, Select none and your floating layer will disappear, though you will have to rename each as H1 (Bottom) to H5 (top). One by one, starting at the bottom Hot add a Gradient Glow (Alien Eye Candy Text) with these Settings.

Now add a d/s to each (4,2,40,4.00)
Click on your H5 Layer, add your Stuff text, I used Veranda Font for this.. you choose:) Duplicate 4 times, Renaming each W1(bottom) - W5(top).
Click on your main tube, add d/s (6,4,40,6.00) and duplicate 4 times and rename each T1(bottom) - T5(top). Click on your top border layer, duplicate 4 times, rename them B1 (bottom) - B5(top). Now add your name text, duplicating 4 times, and renaming each 1-5 as well. Now close out all your layers that don't have a 1 in the name. Merge visible. Rename it Frame 1. Now hide it and un hide all your layers with a 2 in the name.
Merge visible, rename that Frame 2, hide it. Open up all the 3's, merge visible, rename it Frame 3, hide it. Open the 4's and repeat then do the 5's. You should have 5 Layers each named Frames 1 - 5. Make sure you save your work! Open up your animation shop, C/P Frame 1 as New animation, C/P 2-5 each pasting after current frame. View animation and save. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial:)

New Scratch Textures .bmp format

For those who haven't a clue what do do next, easy..

Download, extract to your Texture folder in your PSP Program Texture Folder.

I use X2 so my Texture folder is called Corel_15.

Earlier Versions I believe just call the folder Textures.

To test it out, open up your PSP, Create New Raster, flood fill it whatever color or gradient you want.

Go to Effects, Texture Effects, Texture. Your Texture Properties box opens, click on the lil arrow in the view finder, and scroll to the texture of your choice. Fool around with all the settings until you get your desired look.

Click OK.

Heart Overlays

So I took the First overlay I made and added some grunge or fooled around with the opacity and clarity levels and came up with 17 different overlays lol. Since I couldn't pick which ones to share, I bundled them all up.

Here is an example. I took this gradient, added one of my textures then overlay 14, applied blend mode multiply and this is what it looks like:)

Here is another one (overlay 5), no texture, just same gradient as above and blend mode overlay:) Its cool, just fool around with different blend modes, opacity levels and textures to get the look you want!

Hope you find some use to these.. they are all 72 dpi, 800 by 800.

Create new raster 700 by 700 and flood fill white.
Open up Paper 4 and C/P. Open up the mask and minimize.
Back on your image go to layers, New Mask Layers, From Image, in the source window find the mask, have source luminance checked and click ok. In your layers window you will see 3 layers of the mask, go to top one of those 3, right click, merge group.
If you need to align the mask, just go to pick tool and using the lil arrows stretch it to where you want it.
Using your Eclipse tool, trace out a circle, Objects align center. Open up Paper 8, C/P. Click on your circle layer, select all, select float select invert, on your paper layer hit delete. Select None.
Now delete the original circle. Noe repeat, making a smaller circle and using paper7. On bigger circle, go to Adjust, Add noise, and add at 50% with Random and Monochrome checked. Adjust, sharpen. Now add a d/s to the
large circle ( 7,5,50,7.00) On smaller circle add a gradient glow (Alien Eye Candy) with these settings.

Click on top layer, Open up Frame 5, C/P, Image free rotate, rotate 7 degrees left. Duplicate image flip. Arrange them so the overlap some. (See preview)

Click on your purple circle, Open up Paper 4, C/P. Using your magic wand, click on the inside of one of the frames, selections, modify, expand by 5, selections invert on paper layer hit delete. Select None.
Duplicate, flip, now arrange them both below corresponding frame layers and center them to the frame. Click on your top frame inside paper. Open up your close up and arrange to the left of it. On paper layer, select all, select float, select invert, on close up tube layer hit delete, select none. Duplicate, image free rotate, rotate 7 degrees left and drag it to the bottom frames inside paper. Change the opacity of both closeup layers to 68% and set the blend mode to screen.
Click on your top close up tube layer. C/P your main tube. Arrange it how you want it then duplicate. Send one to become top layer. Click on your top frames inside paper layer, select all, select float, select invert on bottom main tube layer, hit delete, select none. On top main tube layer, apply d/s (7,5,70,7.00). Now using your eraser tool set to size 50, erase the left and bottom part of the top tube until you see the inside edges of the top frame. Now add d/s to frames (7,5,50,7.00)
Now lets add our elements. I will list them with the resize and rotation. I applied d/s (6,4,40,6.00) to each element. See my tag for placement.

Border Patterns

I made these today and thought I would share them with you. They can be used in so many ways, paper edging, ribbons, and if you look in the preview, I used Mura Meister Copies on one and made it into a paper. I created a new layer, flood filled it with a gold gradient and applied different blend modes and opacity to the gradient layer. ( I like overlay and multiply). First Off, I joined the CT at Lollipops N Gumdrops and did a tag today for them..I had this great Tube of Selina Fenech (CDO) I wanted to use... Let me say, if you ever need a "have all" Fairy Kit.. you should check this one out... Holy HANNA its loaded with great stuff! Its by Disyas Digitals Designs.. I have none of her kits but am a big FAN now:)

Just an absolutely "must have" Fairy Kit! (Its Huge Too!!)

This tutorial was written on 01.07.12 by Dee
Any similarities is completely coincidental
For this tutorial C/P means Edit, copy element or paper and paste as a new layer.
Also when I suggest clicking on a layer first before you C/P its for placement purposes.
*D/S - Effects, 3 D effects, Drop Shadow then put in the settings I post in the brackets.

Create New Raster 700 by 700, floodfill white.
Open up fr11, resize 110% ( all layers checked) C/P, adjust sharpen.
Open up P1, C/P. On your frame layer, using your magic wand click on the inside of the frame, selections, modify, expand by 10, selections invert.. on your paper layer hit delete, select none. Add d/s (5,3,40,5.00) to your frame.
Open up P8, C/P send to bottom. Open up your mask, minimize it.
On your Bottom Paper layer, go to layers, New Mask Layer, From Image, in the source window find the mask, have source luminance checked and click ok. In your layers window you will see 3 layers of the mask, go to top one of those 3, right click, merge group.
If you need to align the mask, just go to pick tool and using the lil arrows stretch it to where you want it. I brought mine in a little on each side.
Open up Glitter1 from my Download. C/P. Before we start adding elements, C/P your main tube and add d/s (7,5,70,7.00) Click on top layer. Open up Nature13 (grass) C/P, duplicate, mirror. place one on either side of your main tube, then drag below main tube layer, adjust, apply d/s (5,3,40,5.00). I used this setting for all the elements:)
Click on top layer. Open up El44 (tree) C/P. Image mirror, arrange toright of frame, drag layer down below your grass layers, apply same d/s. Click on top layer.
Next I added these 2 elements. Nature8 (Brown Leaves) Resized 50% and Image flipped and Nature18 (Dandelions) resized 40%. Arrange to the right of your main tube and apply d/s, then drag below your main tube. Next few elements then a preview to show you placement. Open up El28 (log) C/P, Image mirror, resize 50%. Place bottom left side of main tube, apply d/s then drag below your main tube. Click on top layer. Open up El10 C/P, resize 50%, arrange it on the frame left side, apply d/s.
Here is preview of tag so far.

Click on top layer, open up El12(mushroom), resize 50%, image mirror. Image duplicate, resize duplicated 50% and mirror it. Arrange each to an edge of your main tube, apply d/s. Click on top layer. Open up Nature13 (grass) C/P, resize it 50%, arrange in front of large Mushroom apply d/s. Back on top layer, Open up El47, C/P resize 25% add d/s arrange and drag layer below small mushroom on left. Click top layer. Open up Glitter2, C/P, drag to just below main tube. Open up El32, C/P, resize 50%, apply d/s and arrange over your latern. Click on top layer, open up El20 (squirrel), C/P, resize 40%, apply d/s then drag just below your small mushroom layer..making it look like hes part way behind it. Click on top layer, Open Up El84 (nut), C/P, image resize 15%, Duplicate, flip. Apply d/s to both and arrange them. Click on top layer, Open up Nature19 (leaves), C/P Image resize 50%, apply d/s, duplicate mirror. Arrange one on each side. Heres a preview on where we are at.

Click on top layer, open up Nature17, C/P Image resize 40%, duplicate mirror.. arrange each one over the leaves, apply d/s. Back on top layer, go to Bow Folder, Open up B2, C/P resize 50%, apply d/s and arrange over your sprig and lantern. Open up R15(Ribbon), C/P resize 75%, place bottom of tag, apply d/s. back on top layer, open up Word Art, C/P.
Add your copyright and text. Delete white bg layer, merge visable and save in .png format

Remember - SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!!

Both the Frame and Kit I used for this were FS Kits at 300 dpi, so in order to

use this for my tag I changed the dpi to 72 and resized. I will show you how.

Open up the Cluster frame. Image resize as shown below.

Edit C/P as new image. Close out original. Adjust, sharpen.

Set your bg color to white and using your circle tool, trace out a circle just

large enough to cover the inside of the frame. Convert to raster

and drag the circle below your main frame. Now for the frame background

I used a .jpg that came with the Janesko tube. You can use whatever paper you like. Just C/P your paper then duplicate it.

Right Click and send one to bottom. Click on your circle, select All, Select float, select invert, on the top new paper layer hit delete, select none. You can delete your plain circle now. C/P your 2 tubes, the large one being in the background set its blend mode to Luminance (L) and its opacity to 58. On your top tube layer add a d/s of (6,4,50,6.00)

Open up your mask, minimize it. On your Bottom Paper layer, go to layers, New Mask Layer, From Image, in the source window find the mask, have source luminance checked and click ok. In your layers window you will see 3 layers of the mask, go to top one of those 3, right click, merge group. Image mirror, image flip. If you need to align the mask, just go to pick tool and using the lil arrows stretch it to where you want it.

To help see where your mask is you can create new raster, flood fill it white and send to bottom.

Add the word art. Click on top layer.

From Lisete's freebie kit i used 5 elements. I will show your how to resize them for 72.dpi.

Element 1.

C/p as new layer, Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize by changing the Hue to 55 and the Saturation to 28. Click OK, arrange it to just below the Word Art, then drag that layer below the Frame Layer. Click back on top layer.

Element 3 re size as shown,

C/P as new layer, re color using same settings, add a d/s (5,3,30,5.00)

duplicate and place them where you want them then drag below the word art.

Click back on top layer.

Element 5 (branch)

Re size as shown.

C/P as new layer, again re color using same settings, apply same d/s, arrange it where you want it and drag below word art.

Click back on top layer.

Element 4 (Flower)

Re size as shown.

C/P as new layer, adjust sharpen, recolor using same settings, apply same d/s.

Duplicate mirror. Arrange one on branch the other you will adjust after we add the next element. Drag them both below the word art.

Click back on top layer.

Element 8 (leaves)

Re size as shown.

C/P as new layer, I did NOT recolor it. Add same d/s. arrange then drag below your flower layer. Now adjust your flower layer.

Add your copyright and text. To save as .png, delete your white bg first, merge all then save.

Remember - SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!!

Open up Paper 1, Right click, duplicate twice. Rename each one (B1, B2 & B3)

(B for Bottom).Open up Paper 2 C/P. Create new Raster, flood fill it

#fbd3d2, Select All, Select Modify, Contract by 4, hit delete, select none.

C/P the dotted rectangle. Click on your layer that says Raster 1 ( Paper 2).

Right Click and Duplicate twice - name each layer (A1, A2 & A3)

(A for Animated)

Using your magic wand set to Add (Shift), RGB Value, tolerance 50 - click on the main white part of the paper in layer A1. Go to Effects, Plug Ins, Xero - Fritillary and apply with these settings.

Now click on the EYE to hide that layer, then click on your A2 layer,

go back to Xero Fritillary and apply with same settings except change the bottom number from 44 to 49. Click Ok

Click on the EYE to hide that layer, then click on your A3 layer,

go back to Xero Fritillary and apply with same settings except change the bottom number from 49 to 54. Click Ok Selections, Select None.

Change the opacity of each of those 3 layers to 70% and change the blend mode of each to Multiply.

Click on your A1 layer, open up the Snow scape, C/P.

Apply a d/s of (-3,4,20,6.00)

Open up the Pixel Words, C/P. Apply same d/s.

C/P the doodle, arrange where you want it.

Add d/s (6,4,40,6.00)

C/P each of the Snowflakes, place where you want them and add same d/s.

C/P your main tube, add larger d/s (7,5,50,7.00)

Add your text and copyright info.

Hide all A and B named layers. Right click, merge visible.

Duplicate twice, rename each one (T1, T2 & T3) (T for Top)

To Animate, merge all layers together that end in 1,

merge all the 2's together and then the 3's.

Please make sure you hide all the layers but the ones you want merged.

Edit Copy your first merged layer, open up animation shop, Edit Paste as new

animation. Click on second merged layer, Edit Copy, in Animation Shop, Paste after current frame. repeat for third merged layer. View Animation and save.

Open up the textures and place them in their folder..

for help with this see - HERE

Create New Raster 200 by 600 and flood fill #54d6d0. Open up your main tube and C/P. Move to the left of your tag.
Set your foreground color to nil and using your eyedropper tool, choose a color from your image as the background color.
Go to your Eclipse too set to circle and somewhere in the center of your work area, draw out a small circle, choose several other colors from your
main tube and continue drawing out circles, each one a different size but place them close enough together. Once you have 5 or 6 different colors,
right click and convert layer to raster. Go to Effects, Plug Ins, Mura Miester Copies and apply with these settings.

Hide your Main tube now, right click
merge visible. On your dotted layer go to Effects, Textures Effects, Textures and scroll in the view box to texture 49 and apply using these settings.

Open up the Purple shape, C/P and line it up towards the bottom. Recolor it if you want. Go to effects, Texture effects, Textures and scroll to Texture 88
and using the same settings as before, apply to your purple shape. Now apply a d/s to the shape with these settings.

Duplicate your main tube and drag it below your Purple shape, duplicate twice, arrange each layer how you want it. I used the bottom flowers for the bottom layer, then the tubes face as the middle layer, for the top one I just mirrored it, and used the flower image again. Apply a d/s to each of these layers (5,3,50,5.00) Click on top layer, choose a color from your tag and flood fill with it, select all, select float, invert by 3 hit delete, select none. Choose a color from your tube, set as background color, using your eclipse tool
trace out a small circle to put in the middle of your Purple shapes flowers, add a d/s to the first one (3,2,30,3.00) and duplicate as many times as you need so that each flower has a center.
Using FFF Urban Font set to 8 pixel size and anti-alias set to off...type out your word art leaving a space of about 5 space bar hits between repeating it. Align it up just above the flowers and apply same d/s as you did to the flower centers. Add your Text and copyright info and your done! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial:) Dee

Open up Template, Shift D, close out original. Put your Texture in your Programs Texture folder.

Delete the info layer, image canvas size, re-size to 675 by 675, all layers checked.

Go to bottom white bg layer, select all, flood fill it white.

We want each letter of Fall on a separate layer. I have done it for you in the Template,

but if you have down loaded the previous version (from BLOG Train) of this template

the letters are not separated.

Here is a list of Papers and resizing for each shape, I will explain the procedure for one shape then just repeat for each.

Grey Circles - Paper2 - re-sized 18%

Red Square - Paper 1 -re-sized 18%

Grey Rectangle- Paper 16 - re-sized 18%

FALL letters - Paper 13 -re-sized 18%

White Circles - Paper 14 -re-sized 18%

Click on one of your grey circles (the shape you are replacing with paper), Open up your paper, re-size (all layers checked) C/P. On shape layer, Select All, Select Float, Select Invert.
On your new Paper Layer, hit Delete, Select None. Delete the Original Shape. Go to effects,
Plugins, Alien Eye Candy Gradient Glow and apply to your new Paper with these settings.

Then Go to Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and Apply with These Settings.
(7,5,50,7.0)
Now repeat procedure of replacing each shape with the designated Paper.
Apply the GG and the DS to all EXCEPT the letters and the white circles. Also DO NOT Delete the Original Letters or circles.
Click on Your Bottom Letter Layer (Right L), create new raster flood fill it
#997e61. On the Original L, Select All, Select Float, Select Invert, on your new flood filled layer hit delete, select none. Go to Effects, Texture Effects, Texture, in your view finder look for Texture 16 and apply with these settings.

Apply the same d/s to this new L

(7,5,50,7.0) and delete the original L. On the Paper 13 Layer of the same L change its blend mode to multiply and set the opacity to 68%.

Repeat for each Letter layer.

Click on your white circles layer. Open up your close up tube of choice, duplicate twice and arrange each one over one of the circles. Using your magic tool, set to Color, Add (shift) and 40 tolerance, click on the first circle so it has marching ants around it. Select invert and on your close up tube layer for that circle hit delete, select none. Now duplicate that close up tube layer, on the bottom layer change the opacity to 85 and set the blend mode to Luminance(L). Change the opacity of the top one to 85% and set its blend mode to screen. Now repeat for the other 2 circles. When done add the same d/s to the white circles as we won't be deleting this layer.

Click on your Overlay layer, go to Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance more.

Click on one of the Leaves layers, Create new Raster, flood fill it
#957957, on the Leaves layer select all, select float, select invert, on your new flood fill layer, hit delete, select none. Add the same Gradient Glow as you did your main shapes. Keep the original shape but add d/s to it (7,5,50,7.0).
Now repeat for other Leaves Layer, except use #df8018 as your flood fill color.

Now the rest of this tag is all elements except for my main tube. Add your main tube and apply d/s (7,5,70,7.00). I will now list all the elements I used and what resizing and d/s I used for each. The trick to this tag is Layering. Before adding a new element, click on your top layer, then once added arrange
your element to where you want it and then drag that layer down to where you think it looks good.

Click on your mask layer, create new raster layer, flood fill it
#83664a. On mask layer, select All, select float, select invert, on new floodfill layer hit delete, select none. Delete the original mask layer and then duplicate your new mask layer. On the top mask layer go to Effects, Edge effects, enhance more.

Now add your Text and copyright info. Delete the bottom white bg layer, merge visible and save as a .png.

This tutorial was written on 09.2011 by Dee
Any similarities is completely coincidental

*For this tutorial C/P means Edit, copy element or paper and paste as a new layer.
*Also when I suggest clicking on a layer first before you C/P its for placement purposes.

*D/S - Effects, 3 D effects, Drop Shadow then put in the settings I post in the brackets.

Remember - SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!!

First thing we need to make is our inside shape. Create new raster 600 by 200, flood fill white. View Grid, zoom in 3 times (I am blind as a bat!!). Set your background color to black, your foreground box at nil,
using your rectangle tool set to square (both radius's set to 0.00) draw out a square about 8 grid squares long. Move it to the top, so that it only shows on top line of grid squares, Objects, align - Horz center in canvas. Right click, convert to raster. Duplicate. Slide the duplicate layer to one side, drag it down a bit so it extends past the center one, 1 full grid square. Butt it up nicely to the center one so you can't see any white. Duplicate, mirror. Duplicate, drag duplicated one over and down 1 grid square, duplicate, mirror. Our left over space is more than 8 grid squares so, using your rectangle tool, draw out a bigger square, convert to raster and place it 1 grid square below last one. Duplicate, mirror. It should look like this.

View grid to turn it off. Hide your white bg layer, right click merge visible. Duplicate, image flip. Merge visible. Open your bg layer. Select all, Image, crop to Selection. On your shape layer,using your magic wand click on the middle, select invert, on your white bg layer hit delete, select none. On top layer, create new raster, flood fill it #ca6c1a. Duplicate. On your shape layer,
Select All, select float, select modify, contract by 3, select invert, on the bottom orange layer hit delete, select none. On your white layer, Select all, select float, on the orange cut out layer hit delete,
select none. On your top orange layer, select all, modify,contract by 3 hit delete, select none. Delete your black layer and hide your white layer. Merge visible.

On your frame layer go to Effects, Texture Effects, Textures
in view finder, click on the lil arrow and scroll till you see DDTexture 9, apply using these settings.

Click OK. Go to Effects, 3D Effects, inner bevel and apply using these settings. Click Ok.

Go to Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and apply with these settings.

Click OK. Open your ghost background, minimize your window. Open your white background layer and click on it, create new raster, click on your top material box(foreground), click on the Pattern tab, click on the lil arrow to the side of the view window, scroll to your background, change the settings to Angle 0, Scale 50, click Ok and flood fill.
Click on your white bg layer shape, select all, select float, select invert, on your ghost layer hit delete, select none. Change the opacity of your new layer to 76% and set the blend mode to Multiply.

Hide your orange frame layer, merge visible. Open up overlay3, resize 38%, C/P, arrange it to the left edge of your inside paper, make sure it extends paste the bottom. Duplicate mirror. Hide your bg layer and merge visible.
If your in PSP X or higher you can just right click merge down. Select your ghost bg layer, select float, select invert, on your black vector shape hit delete, select none. Open your orange frame layer.

Click on top layer and add your Main text and copyright info. Click on top layer, and add your main tube with a d/s (7,5,90,7.00). On your frame layer, select, Image, crop to selection. Here is a preview of where we are at:)

Open all your layers, except the ghost bg layer, merge visible. You should have just 2 layers now. Duplicate the frame layer 4 times and the bg layer 5 times. Hide them all except the 2 layers that say Copy(4) of merged. Merge Visible, rename this L1, right click send to bottom and Hide.
Open up the 2 layers that say Copy(3) of merged. On the bottom one (the ghost background), go to Effects, PlugIns, Alien Skin Xenofex2 Lightning and apply with these settings. First hit the glow tab and check its settings to match mine. * Note the Aqua color is #d3fbff.

Now change the settings in the basic tab to match mine:)

Click Ok.

Click on your ghost bg layer Copy(4) of merged (You can keep hidden to do this), select all. select float, select invert,
on the bg layer you just added the lightning to hit delete, select none. Merge Visible, right click send to bottom and rename it L2 and Hide.

Open up the 2 layers that say Copy(2) of merged. On the bottom one (the ghost background), go to Effects, Plug Ins, Alien Skin Xenofex2 Lightning and apply with the same settings except before you hit Ok hit the Random Button. Again click on the hidden Copy(5) of merged bg layer,

select all, select float, select invert, on the bg layer you just added the lightning to hit delete, select none. Merge Visible, right click send to bottom and rename it L3 and Hide. Open up the 2 layers that say Copy(1) of merged. On the bottom one (the ghost background), go to Effects, Plug Ins, Alien Skin Xenofex2 Lightning and apply with the same settings except before you hit Ok hit the Random Button. Again click on the hidden Copy(5) of merged bg layer,
select all, select float, select invert, on the bg layer you just added the lightning to hit delete, select none. Merge Visible, right click send to bottom and rename it L4 and Hide. Open up the 2 layers that say merged. On the bottom one (the ghost background), go to Effects, Plug Ins, Alien Skin Xenofex2 Lightning and apply with the settings except before you hit Ok hit the Random Button. Again click on the hidden Copy(5) of merged bg layer, select all, select float, select invert, on the bg layer you just added the lightning to hit delete, select none. Merge Visible, right click send to bottom and rename it L5 and Hide. Now delete the extra bg layer (Copy(5) of merged).

Now lets do our bottom paper animation:) Create new raster flood fill it #ca6c1a, right click, send to bottom. Duplicate 3 times. Hide the bottom 2 ones and the top one.

On the second from top one (left open), go to Effects, Texture Effects, Textures and search for Texture DDTexture 47. Apply with these settings.

*Note the grey is#808080. Duplicate. Rename one of them FS, hide them both. Open the top bg layer apply same texture with these settings.* Note the blue is #0000ff.

Using your magic wand, set to Add(Shift), Match Mode to Color and Tolerance to 99, with your working area still zoomed in, click on one of the wide blue areas, now all the blue areas should have marching ants on them. Hit delete, select none.

Now just incase there is any
blue stragglies, go to Adjust, Brightness and contrast and slide the brightness to -255 and the contrast to 100 ( Black). Click Ok.

Rename this layer BS (black striped). Duplicate this layer, hide one of them.
Open up your bottom orange bg layer.Duplicate your L1 layer and leave one open. You should have only 3 layers visible. Merge visible, Right click, send to bottom. Duplicate. Rename one Frame 1 and the other Frame 15. Hide them both. Duplicate your L1 layer and your BS layer, leaving one of each open. Open up your FS layer. Count your visible layers (should be 3), merge visible, send to bottom and rename it Frame 8. Hide.

Open your middle texture bg layer. Being still zoomed in, using your selection tool, trace out a section all the way to the last large black stripe of the paper (see preview).. make sure your selection runs in the middle of that stripe. Selections, invert, delete, select none.

Duplicate 2 times, hiding 2 of them. Duplicate your bottom orange layer, keeping one open and one hidden. Duplicate your L1 layer and open one of them, Duplicate your BS layer and open one of them. You should have 4 frames visible. Merge visible, send to bottom and rename it Frame 7 and Hide.

Open up your 4L, again duplicate your bottom orange layer, opening up one, and again duplicate and open up one of your BS layers and now open up one of the remaining 2 cut striped layers. Again 4 visible layers, merge visible, send to bottom and rename it Frame 9 and Hide.

Open up your cut striped layer, using your selection tool again, we will select a smaller selection (see my preview).

Again make sure your selection line centers one of the wide black stripes. Select invert, hit delete, select none. Duplicate twice, leaving one open.
Duplicate your L1, BS and orange bg layers, leaving one of each open. Again check to make sure you have only 4 layers visible. Merge visible, send to bottom, rename it Frame 10, hide.

Duplicate your BS and orange bg layers, leaving one of each open, open one of the remaining cut striped layers and open up your L3 layer. Count your visible layers, 4 ok, merge visible, send to bottom, rename it Frame 6 and hide.

Open up your cut stripe layer, using your selection tool, we will make it smaller using same method, Selections, invert, delete, select none. (preview)

Duplicate it once hiding 1 of them. Duplicate your L1, BS and orange bg layers, leaving one of each open. Count your visible layers, 4?
Merge visible, send to bottom, duplicate, rename one of the Frame 5 and the other Frame 11, hide them both.

Open up your cut striped layer, using your selection tool again, we will select a smaller selection (see my preview).

Again make sure your selection line centers one of the wide black stripes. Select invert, hit delete, select none. Duplicate twice, leaving one open. Duplicate your bottom orange layer, keeping one open and one hidden.
Duplicate your L1 and open one of them, Duplicate your BS layer and open one of them. You should have 4 frames visible. Merge visible, send to bottom and rename it Frame 4 and Hide.

Duplicate your BS and orange bg layers, leaving one of each open, open one of the remaining cut striped layers and open up your L5 layer. Count your visible layers, 4 ok, merge visible, send to bottom, rename it Frame 12 and hide.

Open up your cut stripe layer, using your selection tool, we will make it smaller using same method, Selections, invert, delete, select none. (Preview)

Duplicate twice, leaving one open.
Duplicate your L1, BS and orange bg layers, leaving one of each open. Again check to make sure you have only 4 layers visible. Merge visible, send to bottom, rename it Frame 13, hide.

Duplicate your BS and orange bg layers, leaving one of each open, open one of the remaining cut striped layers and open up your L2 layer. Count your visible layers, 4 ok, merge visible, send to bottom, rename it Frame 3 and hide.

Open up your cut stripe layer, using your selection tool, we will make it smaller one last time using same method, Selections, invert, delete, select none.

(Preview)

Open up your L1, your BS and your Orange Bg layer, 4 layers visible, merge visible, duplicate, rename one Frame 2 and
the other Frame 14. You should just have 15 layers all numbered.

Open them all up.
Click on Frame one, Edit, copy, open up your animation shop, Edit paste as new layer, back in PSP, click on Frame 2, Edit copy, back in animation shop, Edit paste after current frame. Continue copying and pasting them into animationshop in their correct sequence, not as they appear
in order in your PSP. When done, view animation and save, let the optimizer run.

I added my name text afterwards so i could do a few.

Back in your PSP, choose your font and type out the name using

color #ca6c1a as your background color and your foreground color at nil.

Use the same texture Effect ( DDTexture 9) as you did your frame. Add the same Bevel but a heavier d/s (7,5,70,7.00). Copy and paste as a new animation. Edit, duplicate selected, select all, duplicate selected.. repeat this until you have 15 frames, you will probably end up with 16, just click on one then hit delete. Once you have 15, Select All, Copy. In your animated tag, click on view animation again - so all 15 frames are in view, Select All, Edit Paste into Selection. It will take you to the first frame, your Name will appear at the end of your cursor, just click where you want to place it. View Animation and save. If you don't like where its at, Edit undo.. and retry.

Wow what a nice response... I thought it would take days to get 12 comments... Its a good thing I have had these made up already.... It is nice to see peeps enjoying my creations.. New Textures for PSP

I made these Textures today, they are in .bmp format for PSP.

For those who haven't a clue what do do next, easy..

Download, extract to your Texture folder in your PSP Program Texture Folder.

I use X2 so my Texture folder is called Corel_15.

Earlier Versions I believe just call the folder Textures.

To test it out, open up your PSP, Create New Raster, floodfill it whatever color or gradient you want.

Click OK.

Open up Template, Shift D and close one.
Image canvas size click the middle and re-size 700 by 700 by clicking Ok.
Delete Credit Layer. Hide all the word art layers (we will do that last).
Click on the Rectangle Frames, go to Adjust, Hue and Saturation and Colorize with these settings.

Using same settings colorize both the left and right blue circles, the dotted lines and the circle frame.
Delete the stars layer.Click on the top left Rectangle Layer, We are going to replace all the rectangles with the same paper.
Open up Paper3, re-size it 80%, C/P. Move it right a tad so that the moon will show up in your top right rectangle. Duplicate 3 times. Click on rectangle layer, Select All, Select Float, Select Invert, on your top paper layer hit delete, select none. Delete the original. Drag one of the Papers to just above your right rectangle layer and repeat. remembering to delete the original when you are done. Move another Paper layer just above your top rectangle and repeat. Then once more for the bottom rectangle. Click on your purple circle layer. Open up Paper7, resize 50%, C/P. On your purple circle layer Select All, Select Float, Select invert, on the new Paper layer hit delete, Select None. Delete the original purple circle. Click on the black shape layer. Open up Paper1, resize 50%, C/P. On your black shape layer, Select All, Select Float, Select invert, on the new Paper layer hit delete, Select None. Delete the original and apply a d/s to this shape ( 5,3,50,5.00).
On both the top and bottom rectangle apply a Gradient Glow by going to Effects, Plug Ins - Alien Eye Candy - Gradient Glow change the settings to these and click OK. *Note the Yellow I used was #ffff40.

Click on your left rectangle layer, C/P grass as new layer and line it up to the bottom edge of your right circle. Your tag should look like this right now.

Click on top layer,open up Flower4, re-size 50%, C/P. Duplicate, arrange each one in one of the circles, then drag that flower layer, just above its circle. Apply d/s to each flower(5,3,50,5.00) Back on top layer. Open up flower1, re-size 50%, C/P, Image free rotate (all layers unchecked) and rotate 90 degrees right, arrange it so it just sticks out past your big white flower on the right, then drag that layer to just below your white flower layer and apply same d/s. From the sampler Kit open up Flowera1, re-size 75%, click on your top layer, C/P. arrange it to the edge of the rectangle (See preview below for placement).It will stick out a bit at the bottom, we will erase it layer, apply same d/s. Click on your Rectangle frame layer, from main kit open up greenery, re-size it 75%, C/P. Arrange it so 1/2 of the top leaves are above your main circle frame. Apply same d/s. Here's the preview.

Click on your yellow center shape layer, Open up the fantasyhouse element, C/P, align it so the right edge of the house just barely overhangs the insed edge of the main circle and the clump of grey grass to the left lines up to the inside edge. Apply same d/s.
Duplicate, drag one layer below the main frame layer. Click on your middle frames bg layer (green), select all, select float, select invert, on your bottom fantasyhouse layer hit delete, select none. On your top fantasyhouse layer, using your freehand selection tool, select the area just inside the frame and the surrounding outside area to the left side of the frame. (*Dont go too far inside the frame or you will expose the yellow shape when you delete), hit delete, select none, use your eraser brush for any stragglies.

On top layer, open up same tube again, re-size 75%, C/P. line it up to the very left of your tag in the rectangle so that just the bunch of mushrooms are showing, drag it just above your vine layer. While your dragging the dotted line layer needs to be dragged just above the corresponding rectangles. Now click on the left rectangle layer, select all, select float, on the smaller fantasy house layer hit delete, select none. Apply same d/s. Back on top layer, Open up the bridge, re-size it 38%, C/P, arrange it bottom of left rectangle, so the edges are showing of the rectangle. Apply same d/s. Now slide your lil mushroom up so its more visible ( the bottom is hidden by the bridge anyway). U will need to use your eraser tool, on the vine layer probably, to clean the side that sticks out from under the mushroom.

Click on your middle yellow shape, Open up rainbow, image mirror, image re-size 75%, C/P, butt up the flat side to the edge of your right rectangle, add d/s (5,3,50,5.00) Use your eraser tool on the vine layer to erase any excess.
C/P your main tube, I re-sized mine 85%, apply d/s (7,5,70,7.00). Arrange it to the right of your Fantasy house. Now drag that big blue flower layer below your main tube and using your eraser tool, erase any excess. On top layer, open the window, re-size it 40%, align it to the top of the left rectangle, drag the layer below the rainbow layer. You will have to drag the finding neverland layer below it or your pixel words will look funny on that element. Add same d/s to the window. Top layer, C/P my window bg and arrange it, center to window then drag it below the window. Preview Update:)

Now go to each of your frames layers (main circle & both rectangles) and add a d/s (5,3,50,5.00). Now add a slight d/s to the dotted lines & side circles (4,2,40,4.00).

Now on to the extra elements, I will list them plus their re-sizing. Please see my tag for placement.
Bow 1, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Bow2, re-sized 25%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Flower3, re-sized 25%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Flowers, re-sized 40%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Flowers, re-sized 25%, mirrored, duplicate, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Flower Swirl, re-sized 90%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Ribbon2, re-sized 50%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Butterfly, re-sized 25%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00), duplicate, mirror
Greenery1, re-sized 50%, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Mushrooms, just used my selection tool to trace out the 2 on the right, C/P, re-size 90%, duplicate,
re-size duplicated 50%, mirror, duplicate again, re-size duplicate 75%, mirror, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
For the leaves around the blue flower, use part of your greenery, pick tool to adjust it where you want it then adjust, sharpen and add
same d/s.

Now to the word art. Delete the 2 bottom word art layers. (one is white and one is d/s. Move your black word art to where you want it. Using your Selection tool draw a box around the words I refuse to, Edit Cut, create new raster layer, Edit Paste into selection, select none. Create new raster layer and flood fill #281833. Click on your Grow Up word layer, select all, select float, select invert, on your new raster layer hit delete, select none. Delete the original.

Create new raster, flood fill it #6280D3, repeat but use the I refuse to layer.

Delete its original too, right click on top word layer, merge down, Adjust, add/remove noise and add noise at 30%, with both uniform and monochrome checked. Adjust, sharpen more. Create new Raster, flood fill white. On your word art layer, select all, select float, select modify, expand by 3, select invert, on white raster layer, hit delete select none. Add a d/s to the white layer (7,5,40,7.00). Add your Text and copyright info.

Create new raster layer, flood fill it #281833, drag to bottom ( just above white bg layer) Open your mask, minimize it . Back on your image go to layers, New Mask Layers, From Image, in the source window find the mask, have source luminance checked and click ok. In your layers window you will see 3 layers of the mask, go to top one of those 3, right click, merge group. If you need to align the mask, just go to pick tool and using the lil arrows stretch it to where you want it.

FTU Tutorial Happy Halloween

I used PSP X2 (though any version will do)

*Also when I suggest clicking on a layer first before you C/P its for placement purposes.

*D/S - Effects, 3 D effects, Drop Shadow then put in the settings I post in the brackets.

Open up Texture, Add your close up tubes of choice, overlapping, merge the tube layers together so they are all on one layer.
Duplicate layer, set the opacity of the bottom one to 44 and the blend mode to Luminance(L). Set the top layer to blend mode screen and the opacity to 69.
Add the moon, change the opacity to 25. Add d/s to moon (2,1,15,2.00).
Add the bats and grass. Then add your main tube, apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
Add word art, your text and copyright info. Click on top layer, create new raster, flood fill it #738070, select all, select float, contract by 2, hit delete, select none.
Click on your word art layer, create new raster and flood fill white, on word art layer, select all select float, select modify, contract by 3, select invert, on white flood fill layer hit delete, select none.
Duplicate the white layer 2 times, name each one. (W1, W2, W3). On your main word art apply d/s (5,3,50,5.00)
On your top white word art go to Effects, xero, Fritillary and apply with these settings.

Repeat for 2nd white word art, just changing the Granularity from 5 to 3. Repeat for the 3rd, changing the Granularity to 1. To animate Hide (W2 & W3), merge visible, Edit Copy, open animation shop, Edit Paste as new animation. Back to Psp, Edit undo merge, Hide W1 & W3, make W2 visible,
merge visible, Edit Copy, paste in animation shop as Edit paste after current frame. Back to PSP, Edit undo Merge, Hide W1 & W2, make W3 visible, merge visible, Edit Copy, paste into animation shop,

Can't Hurry Love FTU Tutorial

Open up your template.
Click on bg layer. Paste your Tube as a New Layer.

Paste your close up as a New Layer and move it into the middle,lower Opacity to 48%, Duplicate, change original close up Blend mode to Multiply, change the Duplicates Blend mode to Screen,
Click on the tube layer, layers arrange, bring to top, (re-size if needed) Move the Tube to the left side of your tag, add a d/s of (7,5,70,7.00).

Click on your arch layer, create new raster and flood fill it red #b9160b.
In your material box, click the arrow to send the red to the bottom box. Click on the top box and change the color to brown #59483c. Click on the top material box, then click on the gradient tab, and scroll to the gradient that says foreground color. Set the angle to 90 and repeats to 2. Have the first style box clicked. Create new raster and flood fill with this gradient. Create new raster, go back and just change the repeats to 3, flood fill again. Create new raster, go back and change repeats to 4 and flood fill. Now click on your black arch layer, select all, select float, select invert, on each of the 4 new flood filled layers hit delete, when done select none. Name each one ( top - G1, middle - G2, bottom - G3). Delete the original black arch. On the solid red arch apply a d/s (5,3,70,5.00)
Click on top layer, create new raster, flood fill it brown #59483c , select all select float, select modify, contract by 2, on the new top brown layer hit delete, select none. Duplicate twice. Name each one ( top - B1, middle - B2, bottom - B3).

Click on the top close up tube layer, set bottom material box to #fcfdfa and top box hid out. Using your rectangle tool draw out a strip wide enough for your text. Right click, convert to raster. Change the opacity to 40%.
Add your text, I used FFF Urban set to black size 8 pixels, anti alias off. Add your copyright info. Click on your arch gradient layer.
Add the heart pin, apply d/s (5,3,70,5.00). Add the bow, drag below pin, adjust sharpen more, add same d/s.
Go to your top gradient arch, Effects, texture effects, fine leather and apply with this setting. The grey is #c0c0c0.

Click on your 2nd gradient arch, apply same, just change the number of furrows from 800 to 900. Repeat for the third, changing it from 900 to 1000.
Go to your top border layer, repeat the fine leather texture to all three of your border layers, just changing the number of furrows each time. Use the same numbers as you did on the arches.

Add your text. Now to animate, hide your bottom 2 gradient layers (G2 & G3) and your bottom 2 border layers (B2 & B3). Right click, merge visible, Edit Copy. Open up animation shop, Edit Paste as new animation. Back to PSP, edit undo merge, Hide (B1 & B3) (G1 &G3), make B2 and G2 both visible. Right click, merge visible, Edit Copy. Back to animation shop, edit paste after current frame. Back to PSP. Hide (B1 & B2) (G1 & G2), make B3 and G3 visible. Right click, merge visible, Edit copy. Back to animation shop, Edit paste after current frame. View animation. Save tag as .gif
